Welcome Coach Demi

Swimclub Meilen is excited to welcome Ms. Demi Michailidou as Head Coach Nachwuchs, beginning in August.

She was born and raised in Greece, she was an elite national level breaststroke and medley swimmer and finished her career in 2012 with open water and marathon swimming.

She obtained 2 diplomas as a sports scientist and was voted top 3 for undergraduate thesis: on teaching freestyle to children under 12 and for postgraduate thesis: CSS and lactate protocol test, in swimming top 10 in the world in the World Symposium of Biomechanics and Swimming in Oslo 2010.

She has been spent the last 25 years, including 11 years in Switzerland, coaching and awarding swimmers aged 9 to 16 at elite level.

Highlights:

· Won several National Championships between the ages 10-16 Greece
· 4 European Championships for transplant swimmers,
· 3 World Championships for transplant swimmers
· Several International – Europe Level School MS Swimming Championships
· Several National Championships 9-14 Switzerland and enough Swiss records so far.
